ID Pictures or Profile Pic?

What's the difference between an ID picture for a job application and an FB profile pic? Last time I checked ID pictures should be professional looking. You must be dressed decently, with natural make up and only a hint of a smile to show that you have a pleasing personality.

While perusing job application forms recently, I was taken by surprise why these girls gave these photos for their application forms. Were they really seriously looking for a job or looking to add new friends in Facebook?

I searched up the net for more pics to tickle your funny bones.

Out of the Box

I've been in my comfort zone for too long that I have forgotten what it feels like to be out in the big, big world. Surprisingly, everything is a delight! There are always new things to see, smell, hear, touch and feel.

Let me take you on my latest jaunt!

This is the cheapest place to buy lunch in Robinsons. For 30 pesos you can easily burp with gratitude. The downside is  you will be hand patted before exiting this place.

2012 SINEBATA Kabataang Pinoy Media Festival

Sinebata Photo Exhibit-surprisingly good for first timers!

Mural done by the Sinebata delegates

This is the start of the Bobby Andrews photo overload.

Boy Abunda

Don't you wish you are a teenager again and anticipating every Saturday episode of TGIS?

Far from being a teeny bopper but cute none the less.

Boy Abunda was really proud of his fellow Samarenos.

I'm over here Bobby!

Boy Abunda teased one of the winners saying that the way the boy looks at him seems like he has an interest in him. The poor boy cried while the crowd laughed.

Watch out for more events on the field. Ta-da! Until next time!

SONA 2012 Fashion Show

I admit I wasn't really interested in Pnoy's SONA. It wouldn't give me a job. So instead I focused more on the beautiful side of it-fashion. The SONA has always been known as THE fashion event for the female politicians and the politicians wives. Let's check out who defined fashion yesterday and those who didn't.
Beautiful Diana Meneses
What was she thinking?
This looks fun!
Rep. Dimaporo-like a Muslim princess
Sen. Loren Legarda
Kaye Tinga
Sen. Pia Cayetano

Beautiful color for the First sister Kris Aquino.
Spell gorgeous LUCY TORRES-GOMEZ!(PIC:yahoo.com)

Hands down, Assunta was the best dressed wifey on yesterdays SONA. Hers is a simply lace Maria Clara serpintina. Its very simple and modest. Almost tethering on being a wedding gown but she rocked it.(PIC: gmanetwork.com)

Teddy Casino in  a hand-painted barong by Edgar San Diego and artists Boy Dominguez and Renan Ortiz had colorful icons of people’s basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter, electricity, education and gas, shaped to spell out the message, “Presyo Ibaba” . (PIC: gmanetwork.com)

iWhite Korea Nose Pack

iWhite Korea Nose Pack promises to remove whiteheads (check!) and blackheads(check!)

Product description: It is a solution that is effective in removing whiteheads and blackheads(check!), eliminates deep-seated dirt (check!), and other impurities(check!). It minimizes pores and excess oil on the nose.(Momentarily, I guess.)

Directions for use:
  1. Wash face with iwhite Facial Wash (or your regular facial wash)
  2. Apply ample amount of iwhite Nose Pack on the nose and spread the solution evenly.
  3. Wait for 15 minutes or until it dries
  4. Peel off from the base of the nose upward.
  5. For best results, use it 2-4x a week. (Again I just do this once a week.)
The nose pack is also good for 2-3 application.

Each pack costs around 20php and it is worth every peso!

Your skin would definitely feel clean after each application. I prefer to do this once a week and at times every other week to avoid mechanical stress on my skin. just make sure you put a thick layer and don't attempt to touch it until it is completely dry. It shouldn't take more than 5 mins.

Try it yourself and you will truly like this product!

Yuki Koinuma's Whimsical Art

Yayoi-san, my student from Rarejob, showed me a drawing that a friend of hers, Yuki Koinuma did.  I simply fell head over heels in love with it! Her works looks like she used pen and watercolor-my kind of thing.

I searched the net for more information on Yuki-san and it seems like she is behind the Snih line of stationaries in Japan. There is a site which is like an online gallery for her work.

Her illustrations reminds me of the scented stationaries Iused to collect when I was in elementary.

Eastern Visayas Bloggers Meet Up

Let me give you an idea of what Filipino meetings are like.
1.On the way means they just woke up or thank you for reminding them.
2. Filipino time - It is best to arrive an hour or two late. This will cut down the waiting time for the other expected participants.
3. The first meeting is a meeting about a meeting.
4. A meeting will always be delayed and can easily be canceled.
5. No meeting is complete without something to eat.
Surprisingly, the people whom I met up today were early considering that this was all planned online via the FB group EVBloggers. I didn't even have any of the group members phone number to check if they were coming or if the meeting was going to push through. I just took my chances and I'm so glad I did.

I've been blogging for quite some time now and it has been a long and lonely road. My statistics doesn't look like the beautiful  crests and troughs of waves exemplified by Vic's google analysis results. It more closely resembles pointed peaks and steep ravines! I knew I needed help and Mr. Google is proving to be much more difficult than my Neuroanatomy exams! I needed a real talking, thinking person who has been polished by years of experience in the world wide web. Auspiciously, I finally met my support group today.

L-R: Ronald Reyes, Vic Abrugar, Jam Canesal, Larissa Dy, Joan Abello, CJ Villalon, Jet Montalban, Bryan Cinco
Everyone was friendly and engaging. Vic Abrugar answered random questions while Bryan Cinco was more structured. (These guys are earning real money from their blogs!) Ronald Reyes loved to probe while Jet Montablan loves the cam. Larissa Dy is an old face from Bio days. CJ Villalon, Joan Abello and Jet works for Bryan's online company. Lyza Sabornido as well as Jam Canezal was also there.
I really appreciate how these people went out of their way today to share what they know to noobs like me. Topics touched were mostly about SEO and SMM. Everything was open to discussion but there were times I felt like I'm in the middle of a Star Trek convention.

The coffee and cookies were free by the way. Hooray! Thanks to Vic and Bryan for the sponsorship.

This meeting proved that I must read and tinker.
