EasyShop.ph Seller’s Night a Roaring Success

San Juan City, Philippines - May 18, 2014 – EasyShop.ph’s pre-launch event called the “Sellers’ Night” drew a huge crowd Saturday evening as online sellers, bloggers and others in the web community joined the company’s officials and partners to celebrate the newest online marketplace based in the country at the Green Lounge Events Place at the BTTC Center in San Juan City, Philippines.

Nelson Liao, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of EasyShop Online Inc; Sam Gavino, web development head; and Jerry Pereda, marketing chief were present during the festivities and took turns in convincing the audience why EasyShop is the next big thing in the online buy-and-sell marketplace.

Also present were online bloggers numbering around a dozen, roughly 20-25 online plus other guests including supporters and partners of the fledgling company.

“The data as of May 16th is that we have 2,000 registered users in our website and around 5,000 products already posted,” proudly shared Liao during a roundtable with the bloggers.

The figures look promising indeed as the website’s official launch is still on June 15, 2014 but more importantly, Liao emphasized on the security of the site—using the phrase “scam-free” multiple times during interviews.

“Other online buy-and-sell sites, it’s just a platform; it is not engaged in the transactions of the buyer and seller so there are lots of scams or it’s open to potential scams. They open the platform and then leave the buyers and sellers to their business; that’s the problem they don’t have any sort of monitoring,” said Liao, a graduate of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde in 2009.

“The main difference with us is that EasyShop is engaged with the transactions to assure that the money is secure. Unless the buyer has received the goods it’s only then that we release the money to the seller. On the other hand, sellers won’t have to worry about the payments since the money is already with EasyShop even before delivery.”

In between the discourse by the designated speakers for the night, prizes and freebies—from smartphones, tablets to a big screen LED TV-- were given away via a raffle for those who had signed-up in the website and attended the event.

Among the partners for the pre-launch event are SKK Mobile, Mogao BS Mobile, Michaela, CCK Mobile, Yousie and Epson.

EasyShop.ph has a partnership with Nelsoft Technology, Inc. and PoziHongkong Technology Ltd.—two reliable software development entities that handles the website.

Kikay Review: Wen by Chaz Dean Cleansing Conditioner

Wonderful people has recently sent me Wen by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner to review.

I got a 60 ml sachet that when you pressed down is half the pack.

It is a 5-in-1 formula so it acts as:
  1. Shampoo
  2. Conditioner
  3. Deep conditioner
  4. Detangler
  5. Leave-in conditioner
Just the perfect combination for my curly and frizzy locks!

Spare at least 20 minutes to do the entire hair routine. Here is why:
  1. Rinse hair thoroughly.
  2. Apply Wen Cleansing Conditioner to your palms and rub together.
  3. Apply evenly from roots to your ends, making sure your hair is completely saturated with Cleansing Conditioner.
  4. Add a splash of water and gently massage into your scalp and hair for 1-3 minutes, and leave for 3-5 minutes for maximum conditioning.
  5. Rinse thoroughly and completely.
  6. Cleanse, rinse, repeat for best results.
  7. After you have finished rinsing and while your hair is still soaking wet, apply a small amount of Wen Cleansing Conditioner to the mid-shaft and ends of your hair as a leave in conditioner.
If you continually use it for 3 weeks, according to a study, your hair becomes more moisturized, has more shine and is more manageable. However, I only got to try out the product for one shower only because I have thick and long hair but if you have thin and shorter hair, you can stretch it out to two or even three since it is suggested that you only use half a packet for each cleanse.

The key ingredients used for this product are:
  • Glycerin, which serves as a humectant. It provides moisture to your hair.
  • Chamomile extract, because of its soothing, calming and relaxing properties. It also helps prevent hair loss and dandruff.
  • Wild cherry bark, conditions the hair, making it soft, smooth and silky.
  • Rosemary Extract, to soothe hair and promote hair growth.
  • Panthenol, helps add strength to the hair and restore its resilience.
Wen Cleansing Conditioner really smells good and has a thick consistency which I love.

A lot of people with thick and curly hair can relate to my dilemma of having damp and funky smelling hair but when I used this product my hair smelled amazingly clean but the frizz sadly never went away.

Maybelline Lip Polish Review

Robinson's Tacloban has always had a paltry cosmetic department. On my search for the perfect shade of lip balm (in2it red preferably which I know is futile in Tacloban regardless if we were hit by Yolanda or not), I chanced upon a few tubes of Maybellline Lip Polish( which is known as Color Elixir in other countries). This is the first time I have seen this in the market so I had to google reviews about the product before buying one.

Projectvanity.com said that it has "the high-shine glassiness of lip gloss, the pigmentation of an average lipstick, and the moisture of lip balm, all without being sticky." Just this one liner description made me purchase one fast.

Most bloggers considers Pop 6 and Glam 6 as their favorites so I decided to buy these shades. Why two? Because I know that these things will run out fast at Robinson's and I'll be left bare lipped until the next stocks come.

Lip Polish on the left is Glam 6 and on the right is Pop 6.

It has a peel off cover. The lipstick shape is the gloss container.

It has a wand inside which is unlike other lip glosses. I even thought it was a mascara wand at first.

Here are the lip gloss swatches on my skin. Pictures are unfiltered and was done using my Samsung S4 on broad daylight. On the left is Pop 6 and on the right is Glam 6.

To get an even pigment, you have to mix the formula first. The only way to do that is to dip the brush in and out several times. I do not recommend doing it regularly because this will surely dry out your lip gloss.

Another tip when using lipstick, lip gloss etc is to buff your lips first using the sides of your tootbrush (works for me) after brushing your teeth. This leaves an even and clean canvas for you to work with.

I just dabbed a small amount on the middle of my lower lip, smacked my lip together and spread it all over. I want my bottles to last long.

This is Glam 6 is purple-ish. I think I will be using this shade on gloomy days with darker clothes.

This one is Pop 6 and just like other bloggers, I think this will become a personal favorite. It is just the right shade of red-not too light and not too vulgar.

Each bottle costs 349Php.

What is your favorite Maybelline Lip Polish?
