I had an interesting duty this week. The elusive Errol Floyd Gaspang was my groupmates client.

"Selling Songs of Leyte"

I was channel surfing last week when I happened to pass by a channel featuring an award winning documentary done by Eli Africa. What struck my chord about this film was that it was titled, " Selling Songs of Leyte". Having lived in this island for practically all my life I never knew that there existed such a thing as a "selling song"!
Bulad(dried fish) vendors from Dulag and Tanauan and another neighboring municipality were featured. Tita said that when they were young there were indeed bulad vendors who would sing while counting their bulads!Interesting indeed and I want to witness this for myself.

I'm too busy for my own good these days. I have to update on a lot of things:books,friends,notes even my life!
Just when I was about some pics I've promised to upload our pc had a multisystem failure. So here I am, stuck in an expensive net cafe.

Ego-Tripping Bon Diggity

I think I wrote this for Theology 5 years back...I hate my approach..Feel free to critique..

Despite all the blemish that seems to pop out of the mirror at me like a 3D picture every morning. Despite the zits that makes my face as bumpy as Chocolate Hills and sebum on which you can fry cheese sticks on a hot summer day. Despite the frizzes of my perennially wayward hair. Despite the fat hanging out of my hipster pants. Despite my poor memory and bad math. My snobbishness and jadedness. Life is good.

Sometimes these whining and complaining of the state I’m in is wearing and wearying. It kills the soul, drains the spirit, and damage the psyche.I look at everything in life with a jaundiced eye. Jaded. It’s as if I’m playing tag with the sun.

Yes, I do have a lot to complain about. Who would’nt? Life is terribly unfair and every bit of reality nips on your skin like a chilly Misa de Gallo breeze. But despite all the biting realities, I know that there are still sterling qualities about me. Some maybe a figment of my hyper imagination produced by my neuro-synaptic wreck of a brain. Yet I know some are tried and tested by both time and self-pity.

I’ve heard people say that I’m pretty. Though I wonder if they are saying it out of pity or simply just for the laugh they get out of it. But come to think of it If I buy all the make-up man can make and with a little help from science, who knows. I may not turn out to be another raving beauty like Audrey Hepburn but close enough to beat Camilla Bowles-Parker out of her throne. Oh ok, I am pretty. Scratch it. Only cute. Debatable but hey doesn’t beauty lie in the eyes of the beholder. If I say I am, you have to respect my opinion. Don’t feed my insecurity by measuring me up with all the Heart Evangelista clones in this artificial society.

Some people think I’m crazy. But the truth is I’m just bored. To drive away that boredom, I dress up. Not in your usual fashionista goody goody two shoes sort of way, but in a style completely my own. I guess that’s one good thing about me. I’m not a fly that’s trapped in amber. I don’t wear something because it’s what’s in but I wear my frocks because It’s the best way of projecting my emotions to the world. I’m not afraid of change, of being different. My friends are all over it but I just keep it down low.

I’m candid, upfront and behind. I don’t kiss up to someone I don’t like. I don’t front. I think that’s a good quality-if not taken to the extreme.

I believe I have a good heart. I love serving the masses. Admittedly I’m such a politiko deep inside. As I reflect on it now, maybe this is the reason why I was so involved in so many extra-curricular organizations in my previous schools. Mostly are socio-civic organizations like the Girl Scouts. I have always held an office. I try to please people. Help them. Serve them. But please don’t get on my nerves.

Speaking especially public speaking has been my forte. I can’t relate to what people call as cold feet. I feel so at home in speaking in a huge crowd. I have hosted events a lot, way before I transferred to this ho-hum Catholic institution. I can talk forever which is why one of the adviser of a paper I worked with calls me “Big Mouth”. Those were the days. I’ve now mellowed down with age.

I may not have real talent. I can’t sing and I’m a lousy dancer. I once tried my hand at playing banduria and as expected, I failed. I’m quite good with creative ideas though. And I’m good with my hands. I’m crafty (smiles). I make trinkets and accessories. I’m proud of it.

Some people may or may not agree with what I’ve written. But my little Bio black book and my Friendster testimonials comforts me that my support group thinks I’m special. Yes I am special.

What Each Kisses Means

I never knew there were a lot of types of kisses until I found this article on the net a few years back. If you find some that catch your fancy, feel free to try them [nyahahaha]

Butterfly Kiss - With your faces less than a breath away, open and close your eyelids against your partners. If done correctly, the fluttering sensation will match the one in your heart.

Eye Kiss - Hold your partner's head with both hands and slowly move their head in the direction you wish your kiss to go... then slowly kiss up towards your partner's eyes and give them a tender kiss on top of their closed eyes.

Eyelid Kiss - While your partner is resting/sleeping with eyes closed, very very gently kiss the spot right below their browbone. A very intimate kiss.

Finger Kiss - While laying together gently suck on their fingers. This can be very seductive and pleasurable.

Foot Kiss - An erotic and romantic gesture. It may tickle, but relax and enjoy it! To give a toe kiss by gently suck the toes and then lightly kissing the foot. It helps to gently massage the base of the foot while performing the kiss.

Forehead Kiss - The "motherly" kiss or "just friends" kiss. The forehead kiss can be a comforting kiss to anyone. Simply brush your lips lightly across the crown of their head.

Freeze Kiss (or Melt Kiss) - Experiment with this fun kiss. Put a small piece of ice in your mouth, then open mouth and kiss your partner, passing them the ice with your tongue. It's an erotic and sensual french kiss with a twist of cold.

French Kiss - The kiss involving the tongue. Some call this the "Soul Kiss" because the life and soul are thought to pass through the mouth's breath in the exchange across tongues. Surprisingly, the French call this "The English Kiss".

Fruity Kiss - Take a small piece of fruit and place between your lips (juicy fruits such as grapes, strawberries, small pieces of pineapple or mango are ideal). Neck Nibble Kiss - Gently nibble up and down your partners neck. End with a gentle kiss on the lips.

Nip Kiss - This kiss can create a very erotic sensation. While kissing your partner, ever so gently nibble on their lips. You must be very careful not to bite to hard or hurt your partner. When done correctly, this kiss ignites wonderful sensations.

Reverse Lips Kiss - It involves standing above your lover and kissing them from over their head. This way, each kisser can take the hyper-sensitive bottom lip of thier lover in their mouths, and GENTLY draw blood to the surface of the lip by nibbling and sucking. A very sensuous, connecting kiss.

Searching The Cavern - Use the lips and tongue to gently tickle and kiss your lover's navel. Vary speeds and stroke to change sensation. Invigorating and intoxicating.

Flaw of Women

By the time the Lord made woman, he was into his sixth day of working overtime. An angel appeared and said, "Why are you spending so much time on this one?" And the Lord answered, "Have you seen my spec sheet on her? She has to be completely washable, but not plastic, have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable and able to run on diet coke and leftovers, have a lap that can hold four children at one time, have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart -and she will do everything with only two hands." The angel was astounded at the requirements. "Only two hands!? No way! And that's just on the standard model? That's too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish." But I won't," the Lord protested. "I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can work 18 hour days." The angel moved closer and touched the woman. "But you have made her so soft, Lord." "She is soft," the Lord agreed, "but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish." "Will she be able to think?", asked the angel. The Lord replied, "Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason and negotiate." The angel then noticed something, and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek. "Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model. I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one." "That's not a leak," the Lord corrected, "that's a tear!" "What's the tear for?" the angel asked. The Lord said, "The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love, her loneliness, her grief and her pride." The angel was impressed. "You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything! Woman is truly amazing." And she is! Women have strengths that amaze men. They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution. They go without so their family can have. They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.They love unconditionally. They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding. Their hearts break when a friend dies.They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart. Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning. They bring joy, hope and love.They have compassion and ideals.They give moral support to their family and friends. Women have vital things to say and everything to give. HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
