People of Vanuatu: Bearded Women of Tanna

On some parts of Tanna, there are bearded women. It's like they have hirsutism. This is uncommon in other parts of the world but this condition is so common in Tanna therefore normal in their area.
I've asked a few women how they manage this. Some women shave their beards off while others just let them grow naturally.

I've seen women with chest hairs too. Very interesting! Especially for Westerner's who shave/wax body hair a lot. I love it how they are confident with their looks and that Westernization has not yet warped their lifestyle, culture and tradition.
