BPI ePrepaid Account and Paypal Verification

Do you have money in Paypal but can't withdraw it because your account is not verified yet? Is it because you don't have a credit card in your name? worry no more because BPI has found a solution to your problem. Introducing the BPI ePrepaid account. It's like a credit card but it is actually a debit card! Sounds confusing? Don't worry! Just read on and you will know more about this product.

 The BPI ePrepaid account claims to be the "first reloadable Mastercard prepaid account" in our country. You can use like any credit card to buy stuff online or for grocery and shopping as long as it has an available load.

 How to apply?
I. At BPI Express Online (https://www.bpiexpressonline.com/)
  1. Go to the Apply for products and services here drop down tab
  2. Select Prepaid Cards
  3. Completely fill-out the BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement form.
  4. Nominate a branch where you want to pick-up your card by clicking the Branch Locator button
  5. Click Submit
  6. Print-out a copy of the BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement form.
  7. Bring the following to your nominated BPI/ BPI Family Savings Bank Branch, five (5) banking days for GMMA branches or seven (7) banking days for branches outside GMMA, Visayas and Mindanao after submission of card application:
    • Print-out of the BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement form
    • Payment for the card processing fee (P500 for GMMA, P600 for outside GMMA, Visayas and Mindanao)
    • *One (1) valid ID.

    GMMA consists of NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, and Rizal.
II. At BPI Branches
  1. Visit any BPI Branch or BPI Express Banking Center nationwide.
  2. Fill-out a BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement form
  3. Submit the BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement form, present *one (1) valid ID, and pay the card processing fee (P500 for GMMA, P600 for outside GMMA, Visayas and Mindanao)at the branch teller.
  4. Claim your My ePrepaid MasterCard® at the same branch after five (5) banking days in GMMA or after seven (7) banking days outside GMMA, Visayas and Mindanao. Simply present your copy of the BPI Prepaid Card Purchase Agreement, and bring *one (1) valid ID.
    GMMA. GMMA consists of NCR, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga, and Rizal.
    * I was asked to photocopy my valid ID. Better go to the bank prepared.
    How to verify your Paypal using your eprepaid card:
    If you are planning to verify your Paypal account using your ePrepaid account, deposit at least 200Php on your account while you are at the bank.
    You can then add your account number and select Mastercard. Type in the 3 digit CVC code found at the back of the card.Then, click on verify.
    There are two ways to get your EXPUSE code. You can either get it rom your hard copy of the credit card statement or from your online account. Since I don't want to wait 30 more days for that, I emailed myeprepaid@bpi.com.ph. They gave me my code a day after.
    I went back to verify my Paypal and  now, I have already done withdrawals. It is that easy!
    There are other options you can use to verify your Paypal.

    You can also use payoneer but i heard the fees are high.

      Hi souvik! You need to contact your bank for that. I am not familiar with PAN card

    Good day po. I tried adding my eprepaid card to my paypal however it keeps giving me an error message. I have sufficient load naman po. Why is this message appearing? "This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card."

    I also had the same issue where I couldn't withdrawal from my PayPal account. I Applied for Payoneer card (http://share.payoneer-affiliates.com/a/clk/1wmrbH) and got a US bank account. I setup the US account/Routing number in my PayPal account and withdrawal.
