Truly Asia Art Pieces

These are the pieces that I was "supposed" to bring to the Art Expo Malaysia 2013 and the exhibit at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. However, my "Surrender" which you see below was bought when we had an exhibit at Cafe Lucia. There was no haggling for this piece. I like it that way. I do not like prostituting my pieces even if I am just a newbie in the art scene.

Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 18"

I am now missing this piece.

Here is a piece I wrote when I said good bye:
" I'll miss you.
You and your serenity when you dance your worries away.
You and your courage to unravel your hair and expose your true beauty without showing much skin.
Such abandon yet such serenity.
I'll miss you my sweet surrender."

Here's an old piece which is the predecessor of my mutant hair love affair. This is a the fairy that guards the Amandiwing mountain range that cuts across the island of Leyte.
"Amandiwing"
Acrylic & Fabric Paint on Canvas
24" x 18"
2012
This is the piece I donated to the Art Expo Malaysia organizer.

"Atomic Bomb"
Acrylic on Canvas
40" x 28"
2013
This one is inspired from my travels. The week before I painted this we went to Almagro in Samar. The beauty of the island plus the marine life enraptured me.

"Nautilus"
Acrylic on Canvas
22" x 16"
2013
Here's another piece inspired by that trip. I foolishly bought sea urchins and a starfish for 100Php from our boatman. I didn't like the taste but I wanted the shells. However, I didn't know that the shells were really fragile. The storm that rocked our boat didn't help either. I ended up with powdered sea urchin shells.

"Sea Urchins"
Acrylic on Canvas
22" x 16"
2013
This one is still inspired by the seashells by the seashore. Ohh I can still feel the sea grass tickling my legs when I took a dip at Sto. Nino, Samar.

"Cornucopia"
Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 18"
2012

This one was born out of frustration. I usually do one painting a year and here I was churning 1 painting per week just to have enough for 2 exhibits in Malaysia. I was surprised when this turned out to be popular on the exhibit we had at Cafe Lucia before we left.
"PERSISTENCE"
Acrylic on canvas
22" x 16"
2013

I thought of the title first before actually doing this piece just because I needed to send a list of my works to the exhibit organizer. It was supposed to be a bunch of flowers but I ended up with just a quarter. However, this is my favorite.
"Blooms'
Acrylic on Canvas
22" x 16"
2013
This is an experiment using different techniques. Making a symmetrical circle is very tricky for me. I donated this piece to the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
"Dreamcatcher"
Acrylic & Fabric Paint
22" x 16"
2013

How about you? Which one is your favorite?
